Preschool

So I decided to not send my children to preschool this year.  I decided I didn't want to spend an obsence amount of money on preshool, I'd rather spend it on our Disney vacation in December.  Maybe you think thats a little selfish, but Disney is way too much fun to pass up a chance to experience Walt Disney World.

The first day was fun, we started learning the Pledge of allegiance, The National Anthem.  Reviewing the letters and numbers, watching a learning letter video, and having a few minutes of art time.  They had so much and seemed to really enjoy it.  The 2nd day was not as well.  I tried to get Cayleen to tell me what the letter "A" was and she wouldn't tell me so then I would tell her and ask again and she still wouldn't tell me and we did this about 50 times with the same letter "A" and she couldn't tell me.  So I eventually got frustrated and gave up and school was over.  It was really funny after the fact and thought dude Cayleen the answer is aways gonna be "A", LOL  I hope this next week is better.  I think she was just being stubborn.  LOL

So I decided to start a Blog :)

This is my very first post.  So I will update you all on what is going on in our lives.

We are stationed in Quantico VA, Dylan is going through 6 long months of TBS. (The Basic School)  He became a commissioned officier in May of this year after attending 2 years at the University of Idaho.  We live off base in a small 3 bedroom, 2 story townhome.

This is a huge city compared to Moscow, Idaho, and sometimes its overwhelming.  The traffic is horrible, 2 hours to go 20 miles, people were walking past my car.  The wives of the marines going through TBS with Dylan are friendly and are always up for doing something, potlucks, playdates, movies nights, scrapbooking, etc.   We all want and need to stay busy.

We are planning a wonderful Disney vacation 3 days after TBS graduation.  We are so excited about this trip.  We will spend 4 nights on a Cruise thru the Bahamas and 4 days in Disney world.  We have just about everything planned out and are ready to go, if only we still didn't have 4 months left.  The kids and I have built a paper chain count down, they enjoy tearing the papers off everyday.  I could go on and on about Disney but I wont....for now. :)

The kids are growing like weeds, I wish they would stop.  I tried not feeding them but they just got cranky, J/K LOL.  Alex will turn 5 a few days after Christmas, Leen just turned 3 the begining of June and the baby, Kristopher turned 1 at the end of July.  They are all doing well, and like ithere in VA even though they miss their best friends in Idaho, actually its washington but they don't know the difference.

We are excited to continue our adventure with the Marine Corps, and look forward to one day returning to the place our hearts call home.
